Verona

The story of Romeo and Juliet was set in the little town of Verona, which we made some concessions for a short trip there. Haha, didn't manage to find the Romeo and Juliet wall even after asking the locals, but had some nice food and shopping there.

Roma, the City of Love

After a short visit at Vatican City, we headed to Roma. The City of Love :)

 Along the way

At an Italian restaurant along the streets of  Rome

We had been "feasting: on Burger King for almost every lunch meal, yes no joke :P Because my aunt wasn't very keen on Italian food. Nevertheless, we finally dined outside for lunch, at none other than Rome. Alfresco dining along the streets of Rome was a fascinating experience!

The cheesy and yummy Carbonara which I had

The even more yummy Pomodoro

Deep in thought, hmm nope actually I didn't know I was being captured

At the Colosseum, which is a must-see at Rome, also originally known as the Flavian Amphitheatre

The sun was really glaring haha :P

A shot at the Colosseum...at the gates ;)

Overlooking the Colosseum

Forgive the messy hair, that's perhaps the only self-shot I had that had a clear view of the colosseum :D

Although Rome was a fascinating sensual city, much of the trip was spent observing from the comfort of the car...Italy is really beautiful with a nice weather, however Rome was scorching hot comparatively to its other provinces.

More to come! (:

Waking up to Vatican City

Although we had stayed at Venice during our Italy stay, exploring Venice was not the first thing which we did. After visiting Milan, we made a 8 hour drive for the purpose of visiting Rome, but did a short stopover at the beautiful Vatican City.

And yes, we slept in the car for that night and woke up in Vatican City. Oh my aunt was the poor driver :X I also barely slept a wink, was feeling a little blue~

The Sights of Milan

A short entry of a daytrip at Milan

The next day, we headed to Milan for a daytrip where we visited the majestic Duomo and savored the sights of the city.

When we were driving at Milan, we caught sight of this intriguing figure (lol)

Look at the majestic Duomo!

We visited the beautiful Duomo mainly, didn't really tour the shops as my family wasn't keen on shopping.

A Journey to Europe (A Photo Story)

Hi!:D  Last semester I went on a trip to Europe, but didn't have the time to blog about it. Currently I'm having my holidays, so I'm just going to recount my wonderful holiday trip where I visited a number of European countries such as Austria, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Belgium.

The good thing about photos are that they have a time stamp on them, so you always can check back when you took those photos haha~

On 30th May this year, I departed from the homely island of Singapore on a journey to the exciting and variable lands of Europe, a family trip with my maternal side of cousins, aunts and my mother of course.

I had a 8 hour stopover at Dubai airport, which I honestly found it really hard to kill time there.

Our 8 seater rental van!

We rented a 8 seater van at Venice which was actually quite comfy :P

   A fruit stall at Italy

When we were approaching our villa, we found a fruit stall and hence explored the vicinity which we soon found ourselves at an Apple farm.

While waiting for purchases

My hair isn't of such a light shade now haha, it looks kind of blonde under the sunlight o.o
